Missing 85-year-old woman found safe

UPDATE 11/17 AT 8:32 A.M. WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Wythe County Sheriff’s Office says missing 85-year-old Laura Melton Bowman has been found safe.

WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia State Police (VSP) have issued a critically missing adult alert for an 85-year-old woman who was last seen in Wythe County.

According to authorities, Laura Melton Bowman, 85, was last seen on Nov. 16 around 1 p.m., driving in the area of I-81 South.

According to authorities, Bowman’s disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety.

Anyone who sees her or may know where she is asked to call VSP Dispatch at 540-444-7788.
