The Vernal Equinox–Astronomical Spring–happens Monday afternoon at 5:24. Between now and then it will be blustery and quite cold to chilly. Tonight will be windy with NW gusts approaching 30 mph at times along and west of the Blue Ridge. Wind gusts for Lynchburg south to Danville will be closer to 20 mph or, likely, less. A few snow flurries are possible along and west of I-81.

After the cold morning, Sunday remains chilly with afternoon highs just in the 30s and 40s.

The wind will diminish Sunday afternoon but cold nights and chilly days will continue into Monday before days begin to warm significantly by the week’s end.

Have a great rest of the weekend!
