Pinpoint Weather: Warming Thursday, rain likely Friday
(WFXR). As the winds relax and the mercury in the thermometer rises back near normal, the last few days of Winter 2022-23 will be defined by wide temperature swings and some rain.

Thursday and Friday will record temperatures in the middle 60s as high pressure has set up. The skies will be clear tonight and Thursday, then yield to clouds late in the day Thursday, ahead of rain Friday.

The rainy pattern for Friday will be out ahead of a cold front and give us some widespread rain off and on all day. The back end of the precipitation event will be some light snow in the NRV and Highlands.

Saturday will be a mostly sunny and much cooler day as highs only reach the upper 40s to low 50s. Sunday will be mostly sunny as well but should be much cooler as highs will generally be in the mid-50s.

The Vernal Equinox is on Monday, March 20th this year at 5:24 pm when the direct rays of the sun are over the equator.
