Fog will become an issue with some locally dense areas lingering into early Saturday morning.

For Saturday, more passing showers through the day with a few thunderstorms possible.

High temperatures top out into the 70s.

Sunday may start out with some sunshine but by the afternoon, showers and a few thunderstorms will be likely.

The Storm Prediction Center does have the western part of the region under a marginal risk for severe weather where some stronger storms may be possible into the afternoon and evening.

Highs will warm up into the 70s in the mountains and the 80s east of the Blue Ridge.

Monday looks to be similar to Sunday with showers and thunderstorms again possible during the afternoon with highs back into the 70s in the mountains and the 80s further east.

Tuesday and Wednesday are both looking dry with sunny skies on Tuesday and a few more clouds into Wednesday with warmer temperatures.

Toward the end of next week, we’re back to having a chance for showers and thunderstorms with highs in the 80s for most of the region.
