More unseasonably warm weather forecast for this Thursday.
It’s another mild morning with most of us getting our day started in the 60s. Other than a few sprinkles, the few stray showers that passed through overnight have ended. Rain chances pick up again later today through early Friday.
A change in the weather pattern is on the way. However, today will be another summer-like day with highs back into the 80s. We’ll also notice a slight uptick in humidity.
Showers and some thunder are possible late today, especially for areas west of the Parkway, with most areas staying dry. Rain chances increase farther eastward tonight, likely ending early Friday morning. Not everyone can expect to see rain.
A few of the storms in the mountains late this afternoon could be strong to severe. The main threat with any severe storm today will be damaging winds.
Cooler temperatures are in store behind a passing cold front. Friday’s highs will reach the 70s, which are seasonable for this time of year.
