This first weekend of fall is going to be typically Virginia with a bit of a rollercoaster in temperatures and a mix of sun, clouds, showers, thunder, and more sunshine. Saturday starts cool in the mid-40s and then warms into the low to mid-70s for the afternoon with a light wind from time to time. Clouds will begin to roll in overnight into Sunday morning with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Sunday afternoon will be a mix of clouds and sunshine with a 40% chance of showers and a lesser chance of thunderstorms into the evening. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s.

After that system passes, we return to cool weather that will last through the coming week. Lows will be in the 40s and highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Next week’s weather looks to be mostly clear nights and sunny days.

Have a safe and wonderful weekend!
