Sunny and warm pattern to end the short work week and start the weekend. The overnight temperatures are going to be on the cool side and the moisture that is left over from rain earlier this week may be able to spawn some fog near the low-lying regions and waterways, but nothing widespread.
Saturday will be sunny and warm with highs in the low 80s. Not much in the way of any cloud cover so if you have outdoor plans, the weather will not get in the way. We are a very proud media sponsor of New Freedom Farm’s Freedom Fest that kicks off this weekend. Please stop by, it is the main fundraiser for the non-profit farm that was established to provide equine therapy to Veterans and First Responders with PTSD. Help if you can, and it will be fun at the same time.
Sunday will be sunny and hot again as high pressure shifts to the east and opens the door for much warmer air. Expect to see temps in the upper 80s to low 90s. More of the same on Monday and again on Tuesday. A few clouds move in late Tuesday, but still able to hit 90.
Wednesday will be slightly milder but still above normal as highs maintain the mid-80s and partly cloudy. Rain may arrive late in the day or overnight, but that may only be a few showers. Thursday and Friday may see a bit more showery weather as we close out the week back in the low 80s.
Tropics are still active; Larry is no longer a threat and Mindy has disappeared. A disturbance in the Caribbean is worth watching and may be the system that gives us rain next Friday. Remember that September is the most active month in the Atlantic Basin so we will more than likely see a few more tropical cyclones before the end of the month.
