Pinpoint Weather: Sunny and chilly Monday; much milder by week’s end

Weather Blog

As the last of the rain exits Southside this afternoon, clearing skies will continue from west to east across our region. By nightfall, skies across the entire region will be mostly clear with less wind.

Temperatures will continue to drop all the way into the 20s overnight. It will be a very cold start to the day with the potential for some frosty windshields in time for the morning commute. Plan on allowing time for a light scrape or some defrost magic before you hit the roads early Monday.

Lots of sunshine will prevail through the day. Morning temperatures in the 20s will recover to 40s for highs in most locales.

Rest of the week stays dry. A system passing to our south Tuesday may get close enough to allow for a shower or two across parts of Southside Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. However, chances are low.

Looking ahead to the holiday forecast, a front may bring a few spotty showers in late Christmas Day with most of us staying dry. Temperatures will not feel like Christmas as we could see highs around 60 in some spots!

Enjoy your week!
