ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – This evening will be mild with skies becoming partly to mostly cloudy. Temperatures will fall through the 60s to lows mostly in the 50s. Friday afternoon will be warm again with highs 10-15 degrees above normal.

The high-pressure system that has contributed to our summer-like weather will be moving aside by the end of the weekend into early next week. Daytime highs will make a dramatic drop.

High temperatures on Monday may come early in the day and fall through the afternoon as a cold front passes. Showers are possible on Sunday night and Monday. It won’t be much rain but what we do get is needed as most of our area is dry with moderate drought from Roanoke and Lynchburg north.

Hour by hour, here is how this weekend looks.

Have a great night!
