Showers and a few storms are expected today as the region continues to see periods of rain. The soils have been saturated over the past few days with little in the way of sunshine so any rain that falls for a significant period of time will lead to some flooding today.

The good news is that the region is not expecting a great deal of rain today, so the cloud cover and the showers will be enough to keep you from hanging out at the pool, but won’t completely ruin the day.

Highs today will top out in the upper 70s to low 80s and that will be the case for the next several days.

Rainy conditions are expected to be present for the next several days as well.

The issue this weekend will be on Sunday as the area is expected to see a much more widespread range of rain that may be more likely to lead to some flooding.

Some of the storms may be strong to severe so make sure you keep an eye on the sky as the day moves along. The storms are expected to begin in the late morning and be more off and on through the day.

Stay safe,
