Tonight will begin mostly clear but with an increasingly cloudy sky. This is ahead of a cold front that will bring not only showers but potentially damaging wind. Wind will increase through Friday and become most powerful on Saturday. As such, we have a High Wind Watch in effect from Saturday morning to early Sunday morning. Wind gusts exceeding 50-60 mph are possible. A Watch means conditions are favorable for the development of the weather described.

The wind will increase ahead of an approaching cold front and then build in behind it as it moves out. Non-thunderstorm wind damage can be anticipated.

Tonight’s lows and Friday’s highs will be relatively mild.

While the wind will increase throughout the day, Friday’s showers will arrive from the west in the afternoon and then depart Saturday morning and afternoon.

Have a great night and prepare for this weekend’s windy weather.
