Not much going on other than the threat of some light rain over the mountains in SW Virginia and the Alleghany Highlands Thursday. This will be the result of a washed-out front and an NE flow of air.

The chance for the showers is confined to the high country as the mountains will be the main triggering mechanism for the rainfall.

Friday looks to be on the quiet side regionwide, but we maintain a watchful eye on the low developing south of here.

The forecast is calling for the low to drift into North Carolina and provide us with a round of rain on Saturday.

Seems to be some conflict with the models after that, so the latest thought is to keep the showers off and on into the Memorial Day weekend and beyond.
