A storm system approaching from the southwest will increase rain chances through today. Scattered showers will be around for the morning commute. Otherwise, it will be mild with temperatures in the 60s.
By late morning, scattered to numerous showers and a few thunderstorms can be expected. This will continue into the afternoon and evening. Better storm chances are forecast for the afternoon.
A few of the storms may be strong to severe with damaging winds and hail being the main threats of any severe storm. Also, an isolated, brief tornado can not be completely ruled out.
Today’s highs will manage the upper 70s in most locations.
Tuesday will be warmer with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Scattered showers and storms, especially during the afternoon and evening will be possible. And again, a few of the storms could be on the strong side, especially west of the Parkway.
