(WFXR). The cool and dry pattern will persist for another day as the region prepares for some showers and possibly a few rumbles of thunder.
Thursday will be the setup day as the clouds lower and thicken ahead of the rain which will begin either late in the day or just after sunset.

The flow of air ahead of the rain will be from the Southeast, so that will allow a bit more moisture to set in as it taps into the Western Atlantic.
Friday the rain will be fairly widespread and there may be some periods of heavy rain and an isolated thunderstorm.

Saturday may be the driest day of the weekend but still on the cloudy side. A stray shower or two may speckle the landscape but for the most part, any sustained showers will be unlikely.

Sunday will be another wet day as the region receives more showers. Since this will be the second day out of three with some rain, and very little sunshine Saturday to dry us out, we may see some creeks and streams running fast and full.

Monday will start a couple of days of a drier and cooler pattern.
