Rain showers are likely to arrive after midnight as we continue to enjoy our “spring-like” pattern with respect to temperatures in the 60s. Normal highs in Roanoke are in the upper 40s, today and Thursday are more reminiscent of April temps than January.

Thursday is will be a day with off-and-on rain showers, mainly in the early part of the day. Another cold front will cross the Commonwealth with little fanfare as the temps will cool slowly after the frontal passage.

Friday will be cooler and dry with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s and some snow showers arrive on west-facing slopes. High pressure takes over on Saturday.

Winds will be blustery starting on Friday and lingering into the beginning of the weekend.

The pattern of on-again-off-again rain continues as we see the next round of rain is slated for Sunday, then another round on Wednesday.
