The rain will be out ahead of a cold front that is slated to cross the Commonwealth on Wednesday morning. The rain may be heavy at times after midnight and before sunrise, but taper off by noon or early afternoon.

Temperatures are likely to hit the low 60s by mid-day Wednesday then drop into the middle 40s before sunset.  Winds will pick up as well.

Winds will be from the South and Southeast ahead of the front then shift to more of a Westerly flow after the front passes through.

Clear and cold overnight with some gusty winds and some cold wind chill values before the sun rises on Thursday.

Dry and chilly the rest of the work week.

Temperature trend is for us to see a gradual warm-up into the weekend.

More rain is likely early next week.
