There will be a chance for some rain to arrive ahead of an behind a cold front that will cross the region in the late day time frame of Saturday, rain will arrive ahead of the front by mid-day.

The timing of the rain looks to be in the afternoon and should be a showery event with some pockets of moderate rain. There is a chance we may hear the rumble of thunder, but that should be when we are dealing with the moderate to heavy rain.

The rain will taper off overnight, ending before midnight, and we are expecting a dry and quiet Sunday.

Sunday may start out with some patchy fog, which is normal after a rainy evening, then yield to partly sunny skies. The general thinking is that the area will be on the quiet side.
Highs on Sunday are likely to be in the upper 70s to low 80s and a soft breeze from the north or northeast.

The new work week looks to be on the dry side until at least Friday.
