The fog should lift by around mid-morning with a mix of sun and clouds for the afternoon. Highs in the 40s and low 50s can be expected from west to east across the region.
Rain moves in after sunset from the southwest. The rain will change to snow before midnight across most of Southwest Virginia before ending early Thursday morning. Light to moderate snow is expected overnight and could lead to some slippery roads in time for the Thursday morning commute.
Snow chances taper off early Thursday. The afternoon will be much colder and windy. Highs will only manage the 30s with wind chills in the teens and 20s expected.
Friday looks dry.
Stay safe and healthy.
