There will be a cold front moving through the Commonwealth today and that will provide us with a chance for showers before sunset. The rain showers will end before sunset as the skies clear and the temps drop quickly
Skies clear overnight and winds will relax ahead of a cooler and drier day Thursday.
Thursday looks to be on the pleasant side if you like temps in the 60s and a good deal of sunshine. Nice day to play a round of golf or go for a hike as the region should be under the influence of an area of high pressure. Don’t get too used to the sunshine as there will be a chance for rain and a cloudy pattern on Friday.
The clouds will move in late Thursday and the rain expected on Friday should be light. The temps will be a bit cooler as the clouds will inhibit the solar heating component to the day as highs will be in the 50s and 60s courtesy of another front that should slide through. Overnight low temperatures Friday into Saturday may be on the chilly side with most locations dipping into the 30s.
Saturday is going to be nice again, similar to Thursday as we once again deal with sunny skies and mild temperatures. As was the case on Thursday, don’t get too used to the dry and sunny pattern, more clouds are expected on Sunday along with some spotty rain.
Sunday will be a mix of clouds and sun with more clouds than sunshine. The temps will be a bit milder than Saturday but not by much as a SW flow of air brings in some milder conditions. The warm up will be inhibited a bit by the clouds so it is a trade-off that yields temps about the same as Saturday.
Monday will see a bit more widespread rain and there may be another round of thunderstorms.
