Keep the rain gear handy! A warm, muggy, and stormy weather pattern will continue into Friday.
Scattered to numerous showers and storms are expected this afternoon. Rain chances will continue into tonight and through tomorrow as a boundary slowly sags southward across the region.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect late tonight through Friday evening. The humidity along with this boundary will not only trigger showers and storms; it will also provide the set-up for heavy downpours. Flash flooding will be a concern through Friday. Never attempt to cross a water-covered road. Always turn around and find an alternate route.
Friday, in addition to the showers and storms, highs will be in the 70s.
Rain chances this weekend will be lower but not zero. Provided the boundary pushes far enough to our south by Saturday afternoon, isolated showers and or storms may remain possible. Sunday, another front approaches from the west, triggering scattered showers and storms late in the day.
Next week looks drier.
