We get to enjoy another taste of spring today! Less wind will make for an even nicer forecast.
We are waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper 30s across most of Southwest Virginia. We’ll enjoy another nice warm-up with highs climbing to near 70! Average high this time of year for Roanoke is 52 degrees. Today’s forecast calls for 68!
This afternoon may have a slight breeze, but nothing as windy as yesterday.
A front approaches from the west later tonight. With little moisture to work with, this front will produce little precipitation. Some spotty light rain is possible with a few upslope snow showers in the west-facing slopes of Pocahontas and Greenbrier Counties.
Precipitation chances wind down by sunrise on Thursday with cooler temperatures expected behind the passing front. Thursday’s highs will be back down into the 50s and closer to average for this time of year.
