Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, we sure have been given a nice gift with respect to the weather. Plenty of sunshine, little wind, and temps well above normal again.
The pattern will shift to a much cloudier scenario for Wednesday as we prepare for some rain late Thursday into Friday.

The mercury in the thermometer will be very mild again through mid-week as the flow of air arrives from the Southwest. Winds pick up tomorrow so expect a brisk day throughout.

Temperatures are going to stay mild on Thursday ahead of the cold front. The front does not pass through the region until early Friday, therefore there is no chance for some wintry precipitation. There may be a few flakes on west-facing slopes late Friday on the back end of the system, but generally, we should be looking at all rain.

Friday will be much cooler as the storm clears the Commonwealth with temps in the low 50s both Friday and Saturday. Winds will be blustery on Friday but relax by Saturday.

Sunday will be quiet and mild with highs in the low 60s. Rain may return by late Monday.
Virginia’s 4 p.m. Burning Law will go into effect tomorrow and continue through April 30th. Open-air burning will be banned between midnight and 4 p.m. each day. Additional burn bans could be issued in certain localities
