We’re shaping up to have a comfortably warm Friday. There will be some pockets of fog in parts of Southwest and Central Virginia during the morning hours. Otherwise, expect a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. It will feel a tad bit humid, but not uncomfortable. Highs will be in the upper 70s and low to mid 80s.
There is a slight chance for a few stray showers and storms to impacts portions of Central Virginia and Southside Friday. However, a majority of the region will stay dry.
Partly to mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast for Saturday. Despite the cloud cover, the warming trend will continue with highs in the 80s. A few showers and storms are possible, but they will mainly be confined to the mountains. Humidity levels will increase.
Sunday will be warmer than Saturday and there will be a slightly higher chance for pop-up showers and storms. Otherwise, skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the 80s and low 90s.
The weekend won’t be a washout by any means. Just make sure you have a way to take shelter in case a storm does roll your way.
Warm and moist air will continue to flow into the region for the beginning of next week. Hit-or-miss showers and storms will remain in the forecast for Monday with hot and humid conditions.
