This is the first weekend of autumn and the area will be on the mend from the rain and minor flooding left behind by what once was Tropical Storm Beta. There are expected to be some clouds lingering around into the mid to late day time frame today with only a slight chance for light rain and drizzle in the morning. The chance for fog to linger into mid-morning is going be a problem as there may be some visibility issues on area roads.

The showers, if they do occur today will be few and far between, so other than the muddy ground, we should be able to enjoy a quiet weather weekend. Don’t expect to see a lot of sun, but we also won’t see much more rain today either. Temperatures will be rising back near normal as well.
Sunday looks to be the better day of the weekend as there will be a bit more sunshine and even warmer conditions. Highs will approach 80 on Sunday as we dry out.
Monday is looking like another day of transition as a cold front moves in from the west and clouds move in overhead. A bit of a breeze is expected Monday, but the rain is not slated to arrive until Tuesday. I do expect to see clouds lower and thicken as Monday moves along so a stray shower or two is not out of the question.
The rain Tuesday will be fairly widespread and the potential for us to hear the rumble of thunder is also on the table. Some computer models are hinting at some strong storms on Tuesday, but that is several days out and I expect that forecast will need to be adjusted as we get into next week.

Overall, enjoy the weekend, even though it will be muddy in spots, but not a washout at all as we usher in the new season.
Stay Safe and Healthy,
