Pinpoint Weather: Easter Sunday looks sunny, breezy; fire weather concerns increase

Weather Blog

Happy Easter everyone!

We can expect sunny skies, though a few clouds will be possible into the afternoon. We’ll notice winds kicking up as well.

Allergy sufferers: this won’t be a great day as pollen levels are in the “Very High” category.

Combine the dry weather with increased winds – we have an increased threat for the chance for the rapid spread for bush and wildfires today.

Remember, the 4 p.m. Burn Law continues through the rest of the month. It is illegal to do any outdoor burning of any kind until after 4 p.m. Even then, we’ll continue to be a bit breezy into the evening, so if you can hold off doing any burning today, that would best.

We’ll continue the dry pattern through midweek. We’ll also gain a few degrees on the high temperatures each day through Wednesday, when some areas will likely top out close to the 80-degree mark.

By Thursday, we do introduce some scattered showers as the pattern turns a bit more unsettled. We’re not anticipating a washout any day, but showers look possible Thursday as well as each day into next weekend. In between all that, Friday there could be some thunderstorms in the area. It’s too early to tell whether or not severe weather concerns may be possible, but it is something we’re watching.

So, enjoy your Easter Sunday. A few extra squirts of hair spray will be needed with some breezy conditions across much of the area becomes likely into the afternoon.
