The one-and-done wintry weather has yielded to a cool and pleasant mid-February day. There was quite the variety of weather elements Sunday with the most significant being the rainfall. Here are the totals from all the precipitation types.

So as you can see, the rainfall was steady and impressive as there were several larger locations that broke records for rainfall on the date February 12th.
As for the new work week, expect to see clear and chilly conditions tonight as a weak and dry cold front pushes through. This will not be dropping the temps much as it should wash out as it moves east over the region.
Tuesday will be a dry and mild day as the skies start out sunny. The clear skies will be short-lived as there will be high and mid-level clouds moving in from the west into late in the day adn we may even see a few showers early Wednesday before sunrise.

Wednesday will be well above normal as far as temps go with highs in the middle to upper 60s. This will be achieved with a decent amount of cloud cover as well. The clouds are out ahead of a rainy scenario that is likely to overtake the region after midnight and linger through the day Thursday.

The Thursday rain event will be impressive, and minor flooding is possible. Look for the rain to linger into Friday morning before tapering off.

As for Valentine’s Day, it looks lovely.
