ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The warm weather pattern continues across Southwest and Central Virginia for the week ahead.

It will be a comfortably cool start to Monday with morning temperatures in the 50s. A variable mix of sun and clouds will be overhead for the day with afternoon temperatures reaching the near-average middle 70s and lower 80s. Much of the region will stay dry, but a couple of isolated showers and storms cannot be ruled out during the afternoon and evening.

Mostly to partly sunny skies are in the forecast for Tuesday. While morning temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s, warmer afternoon temperatures are ahead. It will feel more summer-like with highs in the middle 70s and middle 80s.

A weak front will push through Southwest and Central Virginia Wednesday. More clouds are in the forecast with passing showers possible during the afternoon and evening. A few thunderstorms may come into the mix. It won’t be as warm with afternoon highs in the 70s.

Thursday will be drier and mostly sunny. A few clouds may pass overhead with highs in the 70s. The dry weather pattern continues through Saturday with temperatures trending warmer. Afternoon temperatures will generally be in the 70s Friday while highs will reach the middle 70s and middle 80s Saturday.
