Despite a sunny forecast, temperatures in the 30s and 40s this morning won’t move much through the day due to colder air spilling in behind a passing front this morning.
A few snow showers are possible for the west-facing slopes of our higher elevations in Pocahontas and Greenbrier Counties this morning. Elsewhere, sunny weather is anticipated.
After a break from the gusty winds last night, winds will pick up again later this morning behind the front. Winds will remain gusty later this morning and through the afternoon. However, winds will not be as strong as yesterday and this past Sunday. You can expect gusts near 30 mph at times today.
Prepare for some of the coldest temperatures we’ve seen so far this season as temperatures tonight and tomorrow night drop into the 20s for many locations. Today and tomorrow highs will only manage 40s and low 50s for most.
Temperatures rebound by the second half of the week. Highs climb to around 70!
Stay safe and healthy.
