Tuesday is starting off with some light rain and sprinkles early this morning. However, the rain is continuing to taper off and many will hit the roads for their commute without having to turn the windshield wipers on.
This morning will start out mostly cloudy with more sunshine building back in by late this morning and this afternoon.
It’s a chilly start to the day with temperatures in the 40s and 50s. You may opt for that light jacket as you head out the door. This afternoon will be cooler than average with highs in the mid and upper 60s across most of Southwest Virginia.
Tonight, a piece of energy passes mainly to our south. It may, however, pass close enough to our south to bring in some rain to areas south of U.S. 460 overnight through sunrise. From there, we should stay dry until Thursday night into Friday.
A cooler pattern settles in for most of the week. Through Friday, highs will be about 5 to 10 degrees cooler than average in most locations.
