Pinpoint Weather: A few chances for showers leading up to Thanksgiving Day

Weather Blog

Welcome to the weekend!

Saturday’s weather is expected to be generally nice, so get outside and enjoy it as a decent amount of sunshine is expected with highs in the mid 60s to near 70 across the region.

Clouds will start increasing across the area Saturday night and will continue into Sunday as our first chance for rain for the next week comes on in. The good news is the bulk of rain should only arrive after dark Sunday night and is expected to be generally light. The rain should be mostly out of the region by Monday morning. We should only see around one-tenth of an inch of rain or less across the region.

Monday and Tuesday should be generally sunny as high temperatures cool down into the 50s.

By Wednesday, clouds are expected to increase with showers becoming likely as we head through the day. Some showers could linger into Thursday morning (Thanksgiving Day) but, at least right now, looks like in time for Thanksgiving dinner, we should be drying out.

Temperatures should also be warming back up into the upper 50s into the mid 60s by week’s end.

The tropics are relatively quiet (thankfully!) There is one system that we’re watching that could develop into something off the Atlantic coast, but models are indicating that, whatever MAY develop, should remain out to sea.

Enjoy the day today! It’s the final weekend before the official start of the Holiday Season!
