The weekend is here and it’s time to get outside and enjoy some you-time!
Thankfully, Saturday looks to be a great day for some golf, tennis, a jog – whatever you can do outdoors.
We will likely have come clouds moving into the region as we move through the afternoon. We will be dry through the day and it will be a bit milder with highs in the mid-to-upper 60s in the mountains and into the mid 70s further east.
However, as we head into Sunday, more clouds will be in the picture with a few showers possible – far from a wash-out, but still, sporadic showers or sprinkles will be possible. We can’t rule out a clap or two of thunder during the afternoon either as highs may lose a few degrees from Saturday’s highs.
We’ll continue the unsettled forecast into early-to-mid week with anywhere from a 20-40% chance of showers Monday through Wednesday.
We’ll start next week on the cooler side with highs generally in the 60s across the region.
By Tuesday, we do start a warming trend with highs in the upper 60s in the mountains and back toward the mid 70s east of the Blue Ridge.
Some areas could flirt with the 80-degree mark by Wednesday.
On Thursday, we look to dry things out as we continue to warm things up.
The mountains can expect highs on Thursday into the mid 70s. More like mid-80s for highs further east.
Friday looks even warmer with some areas along and east of Route 29 possibly knocking on the door of 90 degrees.
So, between today and Sunday – today will be the day to enjoy the great outdoors. Have fun and be safe!
