ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Thursday will remain dry as high pressure remains in control of our weather.
Ahead of a cold front on Thursday, temperatures will remain above average after a chilly morning.
A cold front will approach the region on Friday and Saturday, bringing the chance for mainly light showers to the region. A coastal storm system will cause us to see a slight decrease in rainfall.

Another storm system, which is currently located off the coast of California, will move across the country. It will tap into both cold Canadian air and moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. This storm system has the potential to finally bring decent rainfall to the region on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Behind this storm system, cold air will move in starting on Tuesday and likely stick around at least through Thanksgiving.
