Saturday will start out sunny and stay that way. I am expecting one of the coldest mornings this year with temps on the bitter side so if you are taking the dog out for a walk, make sure you both are bundled up. The sunshine will do little to get the mercury to rise much in the thermometer as highs will only get into the low 40s east of the mountains and the upper 30s in the hills. That technically is not all that cold for February, but since we have been so mild this season, it is a bit of a shock to the system. Sunshine does help make us seem a bit warmer.
Sunday will should be back into the mild zone as temperatures rise into the 50s again. The cold snap of Friday and Saturday will be quickly forgotten as the sun and warmth take over. A few clouds are expected to arrive late in the day but for the most part the day will be pleasant and dry.
Monday will once again give us the potential for milder conditions as temperature readings will be in the low to middle 50s again. A few more clouds fill the skies and there may be a good deal of cloud cover as the day comes to a close as some rain and mountain snow may return to the area on Tuesday.
Tuesday looks to bring back the rain and cloud cover. The timing is usually the biggest issue with longer range forecasting as one of the models has the rain holding off until later Tuesday or even Wednesday. Either way, we are looking at a great weekend so get out and enjoy. Make sure to bundle up if you are taking the pup out for a walk early in the morning Saturday.
