Spotty storms return today

Off and on rainy and stormy conditions over the weekend

As it stands now there is a chance for a wave of storms poised and ready to drive across the NRV and our southern tier of the forecast area again Saturday.  This will push across in the morning and try to scour out any chance for rain in the afternoon, but it will not.  A line of showers and some isolated storms is forecast to run through the NRV in the afternoon Saturday as another impulse of energy rides into Tennessee.  We are on the periphery of the impulse, so there will be mainly cast off storms as they ride into our neighbors to the south. If you have plans on heading south you may want to bring the rain gear.  If you are heading north, you may stay dry.

Sunday looks to be a bit of a dry period, so the better day for outdoor activities will be later in the weekend.

Monday will be a mixture of sun and clouds with some of the region once again getting some storms.  Timing is still an issue, but late in the day to even overnight will be the more likely time frame.  Spotty storms on Tuesday then a dry and hot time for the rest of the week.
