Southern Storm Watch: Preparing for upcoming severe weather starting Friday

(NEXSTAR) – Springtime severe weather season is in full force. Many states across the southeastern part of the United States could see heavy storms with strong wind gusts, damaging hail and isolated tornadoes.

Storms will develop during the middle of the day Friday and continue into the overnight hours Saturday as the system continues to move east.

A team of meteorologists with #NexstarNation join forces to bring you an all-inclusive look at the system expected to impact the southern region tomorrow. 

The participating stations include: Norfolk, Va. (WAVY), Richmond, Va. (WRIC), Roanoke, Va. (WFXR), Raleigh, N.C. (WNCN),  Greenville, N.C. (WNCT), Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WBTW), Charleston, S.C. (WCBD) and Savannah, Ga. (WSAV).
