ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke City leaders held a virtual winter weather briefing at 4 p.m. on Sunday

During the briefing, city officials discussed operations, procedures and plans involving the ongoing winter storm as well as management, mitigation, and removal of snow.

They also discussed efforts to plow the main roads in Roanoke first. After the precipitation ends later this evening, they hope to be able to start working on neighborhood streets overnight and into Monday morning.
