(WFXR) — During “Severe Weather Awareness Week,” WFXR’s Pinpoint Weather Team has stressed the importance of making sure you’re ready in case Mother Nature strikes — but how prepared are Americans?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), nearly half of Americans don’t have emergency supplies and more than 40% don’t even have a basic first aid kit.

Brad Greer, a first aid expert and the CEO of DrySee, joined WFXR News’ Amanda Kenney and Evan Johnson on “Good Day Virginia” to talk about the importance of having first aid kits prepared and ready to go for any situation.
