Dry & breezy Sunday before rain returns Monday

Some light and isolated showers are still moving through portions of Southwest Virginia. However, the night is looking drier and skies will gradually clear overhead. Mountain snow will impact the west-facing slopes of the Alleghanys, but overall coverage will decrease as we approach Sunday. Temperatures will generally fall into the mid to upper 30s overnight. A few spots in the Alleghany Highlands could approach the freezing mark.

A few isolated snow flurries may linger along the west-facing slopes in Greenbrier and Pocahontas counties during the morning hours, but more sunshine is in the forecast for much of Southwest Virginia. Winds will be breezy at times, but it doesn't appear to reach Wind Advisory criteria. Temperatures will reach the 50s east of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Afternoon highs in the 40s are expected to the west.
