Quiet weather pattern through the weekend

Little change moving forward as we maintain the dry and warm conditions.

Highs will reach the middle to low 80s most locations for the next day or so then gradually rise near 90 over the weekend and my get there in some of our Piedmont locations.  There may be a slight chance for a stay storm to arrive in some of our mountain and NRV locations but nothing widespread and I don’t expect any severe weather either.

There will be a good deal of outdoor events this weekend and we should have no issues as far as the weather is concerned.   Remember to put on your sunscreen and you still have to stay hydrated.  We may not be dealing with the sweltering heat of last week, but we have to remember to drink water and stay in the shade as much as we can.

On another note, I had the privilege to be part of a Video Blog produced out of the Nexstar nation called Eye of the Storm.  It is a weekly Video blog about the tropics.  The show is hosted by Wed Hohenstein, Chief Meteorologist at our sister station in Raleigh, NC, and it panels different meteorologists around the country about tropical systems.  We put it on our website last night (Episode 7) which you can find on WFXRtv.com in the dropdown menu under “weather”.  Should be fun and informative.
