Plenty of sunshine Saturday, a few showers late Sunday

Mild and dry Saturday, spotty showers on Sunday

Plenty of sunshine as we move through the rest of the day then mostly clear skies overnight. Temperatures will be on the cool side tonight, dropping into the upper 30s to mid-40s.  Longer days and shorter nights will help us get above normal on Sunday along with a good deal of sunshine to start the day.

As the day moves along Sunday there will be an increase in cloud cover as showers move in from the west.  The rain is not going to be very widespread but will be enough to water the flowers that have been popping up the past several days.  Highs will be above normal once again as the mercury in the thermometer reaches the 70 degree mark in a number of locations.  The showers will be short lived and more than likely late in the day so I do believe we will have a very nice weekend.

Monday will be a mixed scenario of clouds and sunshine. Highs will once again rise into the 70s, in fact the rest of the week we should see warmer days.    There is a chance for some rain showers to push as far north as the Virginia/North Carolina border later in the day but I expect most of the rain will stay south.

Tuesday will see a better chance for rain and possibly even a few rumbles of thunder.  The temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s as a nearly summertime feel takes over for a few days.

Wednesday will see temperature readings in the upper 70s to low 80s with a slight chance for some spotty storms to pop up.  Thursday will be on the rainy side again with showers and storms more widespread.  Overall the week ahead will be a typical April week, with periods of rain and a few storms.  The temperatures are more reminiscent of May than April, but otherwise a fairly typical week.

Stay Safe, stay healthy.
