Pinpoint Weather: Snow ends, then windy and much colder

If you can postpone your travels a few hours this morning, try to do so. Although the snow will end early this morning, slippery roads will likely remain an issue, especially along and west of the Parkway.

The snow will end for most of the region before sunrise. Wet, slushy, and snow-covered roads will make for hazardous travel conditions this morning.

Pinpoint Weather: Heavy snow overnight, morning commute will be impacted

The complex storm system that has been marching across the country this week has made it to Virginia.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the snow and wind for a good portion of our viewing area. A Winter Storm Warning is in place for areas that may receive about 4 - 6" of snow, mainly on west-facing slopes and higher elevated locations. The entire area will see snow, the highlighted areas are expected to get more.
