Pinpoint Weather: Strong storms expected today with gusty wind and small hail, windy and cooler Thursday

The Storm Prediction Center has placed a good portion of the region under the Marginal Risk Category for severe storm. The main threat will be gusty winds along with the chance for some Hail. The storms will be producing heavy rain at times and some minor flooding can’t be ruled out. Overall, the event will linger from late today through about Midnight. Prepare for stormy weather today and if you have not already done so, please download our WFXR news app. and stay up to date on all the weather of the day.

Thursday will be a dry and cooler day with the winds being on the brisk side. Expect to see winds in the 15-mph range most of the day along with a few gusts near 30-mph. The area will be much cooler as the flow of air will arrive from the northwest, so expect temps to be in the lower 60s and upper 50s.
