Today, an upper level low will move in and settle over the region prolonging our rain chances much of the week.
A wedge of cooler, moist air has settled in across the region also. Temperatures will not fluctuate much through the day. Afternoon temperatures will generally be in the low to mid 50s.
Through the week, some areas could see enough rain over an extended period of time that may lead to some localized flooding.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Thursday morning for parts of the region. These areas could see as much as 3 to 6 inches of rainfall by Thursday morning.
Be mindful of ponding of water on roads, increasing the risk for hydroplaning. Remember to never attempt to drive on roads covered by water. It is best to turn around and find an alternate route to arrive safely to your destination.
Stay safe and healthy.
