Saturday will be a pleasant day with temperatures reaching the middle to upper 60s east of the Foothills under mostly sunny skies. The winds will be coming in from the north then the east so there may be some clouds arriving late in the day, but be of little consequence.
Sunday looks to be a bit warmer but there may be a few more clouds overhead. There has been an area of low pressure off the coast that has been drifting about 500 miles off shore for the past few days. This feature has done a good job of stagnating the weather pattern since Thursday but is now moving along. This movement will open the door for a weak front to slide over the Commonwealth late Sunday. The result will be an increase in cloud cover as well as a very slight chance for some showers. The best chance for rain will be the mountains but a few raindrops are possible into the evening.
Monday will be a mixture of clouds and sunshine as the cold front will have dissipated. The air will actually be a bit warmer even after the front as there will be warmer air moving in from the south. A few light rain showers are possible late but the better chance for rain is slated for Tuesday.
Tuesday will be a bit warmer and there is a chance for some showers of thunderstorms. The rain will not be overwhelming but do a nice job of watering the plants, grass and trees. There is another chance for rain and isolated storms on Wednesday as we approach or get past the 80° mark.
Stay Safe and healthy.
