DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – With snow in the forecast late Sunday night into Monday morning, Public Works crews in Danville say they are making their final preps to ensure the city’s roads stay open.

Officials say that trucks are mounted with snow plows ahead of the storm.

A Public Works crew will report to work Sunday evening to make the final preps which include checking the trucks as well as mounting additional plows to trucks.

They say plowing will begin when an inch of snow accumulates on roadway surfaces.

While they do not expect widespread power outages associated with the storm in Danville, should they occur, crews will work staggered 16-hour shifts.
