Saturday will be a bit breezy as the skies continue to clear and the region dries out. The winds will be from the west so I expect to see a bit warmer conditions than the models are advertising. Highs should be in the upper 40s to low 50s if the west winds hold true. Look for a mixture of clouds and sunshine with more clouds in the morning than in the afternoon. May still see some flakes on the west facing slopes of the Alleghany range.
Sunday will be a pleasant day with only a few clouds drifting overhead. Highs should be in the upper 40s to low 50s again. Winds will be present but not overwhelming coming in from the west at around 10 mph. The region will be drying out but there will still be a good deal of mud around so if you are taking the pup out for a stroll make sure to bring along a towel. The west facing slopes may still be getting some snow so a ski trip may be a nice diversion from the usual routine.
Monday is looking to be a bit tricky as far as the forecast is concerned. Originally thought to be on the dry side, now the models are pushing a weak disturbance through the region and there may be some spotty light rain showers in the Piedmont locations and some light snow in the NRV and Highlands. Just enough to create some slick roads, so Monday may not be all that great to drive around.
