MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — First responders were called to the Virginia Tech Airport after an aircraft had an electronic malfunction on Sept. 26.
Details about the incident remain limited; however, the Montgomery County Fire-EMS Department reported that around 8 p.m., several crews including the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad were dispatched to the airport.
It was revealed that the aircraft had sustained some type of electronic failure mid-flight and was forced to do an emergency landing.
Firefighters said as a precaution, units were called to the scene.
The plane landed without incident, and there were no reported injuries. However, the cause of the electronic failure is unknown at this time.
