LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) -- The Liberty Flames recently put to bed spring football practice in preparation for the Fall 2021 season.
LU looking to build on two straight bowl campaigns under head coach Hugh Freeze.
Freeze says there is one key objective when it comes to spring football practice.
"I think the one objective I would have about spring football practice is to produce quality depth at positions through spring ball. So that is the one thing that I would say spring ball is provided by. I have been on the record many times I wish we didn't have spring ball. I wish they would give us two weeks like the training in June and during the camp season we are already here. The staffs are here the newcomers are here. I would much rather do that than go through spring ball," said Freeze.
