Wahoos headed to Omaha after Kyle Teel’s grand slam secures 5-2 win over Dallas Baptist

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WFXR) — Virginia baseball is headed back to Omaha.

The Cavaliers defeated Dallas Baptist, 5-2, in the third and deciding game of the Columbia Super Regional on Monday, highlighted by Kyle Teel’s grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning that gave UVA the lead.

UVA is now 6-0 in elimination games in this year’s NCAA tournament. Virginia advances to the College World Series for the first time since 2015 and is making its fifth CWS appearance.

The Cavaliers will open the CWS against Tennessee.
