Charlottesville, VA(WFXR)- The Virginia Cavaliers are in the middle of their volunteer football training workouts. With the COVID-19 pandemic being in play for the last 4 months it can take a toll on you mentally. Before work outs began, head coach Bronco Mendenhall spoke with all of his players and their families about returning to campus. He told them they didn’t have to return to school if they didn’t feel comfortable. If the players chose not to come back they would not be facing any penalties for the decision. Mendenhall said the team psychologist is on every team meeting call and dropping in on position meetings to check on the mental health of the players.
